This patch has been modified from the debian debian-2.2.14-16.diff, which removed the previously added-by-patch documentation change on shebangs. Because we're not debian, we don't patch something in, just to patch it out again later... Also this is merged with a patch adding shtool, because Apple doesn't ship it and MacPorts has no port for it either. This also means we're leaving the line generating ./etc/shtool using shtoolize in the Makefile disabled (the unedited patch did not) diff --git a/Makefile.in b/Makefile.in index b2d9879..d64efbe 100644 --- a/Makefile.in +++ b/Makefile.in @@ -36,7 +36,7 @@ debug = @debug@ dmalloc = @dmalloc@ # installation tools -SHTOOL = /usr/bin/shtool +SHTOOL = /bin/sh $(top_srcdir)/etc/shtool INSTALL_PROGRAM = install -c -m 755 -s INSTALL_DATA = install -c -m 644 MKDIR = mkdir -p -m 755 diff --git a/configure b/configure index 9b17af5..7368dc9 100755 --- a/configure +++ b/configure @@ -1712,7 +1712,7 @@ ac_compiler_gnu=$ac_cv_c_compiler_gnu ac_config_headers="$ac_config_headers config_ac.h" -shtool=/usr/bin/shtool +shtool=./etc/shtool TERM_BOLD=`$shtool echo -e %B 2>/dev/null` TERM_NORM=`$shtool echo -e %b 2>/dev/null` diff --git a/configure.in b/configure.in index 5bada6f..1ec636c 100644 --- a/configure.in +++ b/configure.in @@ -15,7 +15,7 @@ AC_INIT(README) AC_CONFIG_HEADER(config_ac.h)dnl AC_PREFIX_DEFAULT(/usr/local) -shtool=/usr/bin/shtool +shtool=./etc/shtool TERM_BOLD=`$shtool echo -e %B 2>/dev/null` TERM_NORM=`$shtool echo -e %b 2>/dev/null` --- /dev/null +++ b/etc/shtool @@ -0,0 +1,1104 @@ +#!/bin/sh +## +## GNU shtool -- The GNU Portable Shell Tool +## Copyright (c) 1994-2000 Ralf S.
